The name Bunkyard stems from the concept of a junkyard theme with bunk-beds. Our hostels are carefully constructed using all locally sourced and up-cycled materials wherever possible.

Bunkyard Hostels is located in the center of Colombo, in the area known as Colombo 07, which has the ideal mix of a highly residential and commercial zone. Which gives you that serene quietness and safety of a residential neighborhood, but has all the buzz and activity of the capital city within walking distance. Bunkyard is also walking distance to the citiees biggest attractions such as the National Museum, Independence Square, Viharamahadevi Park and Gangarama Temple. This is just to name a few. The location is also walking distance to over 20 restaurants, cafe’s and bars, within a 1KM radius. All amenities such as, banks, ATM’s, supermarkets are only down the road or a short tuk tuk ride away.
